The working principle of forklift batteries is to convert chemical energy into electrical energy through chemical reactions to provide the power required for forklift operation. There are two electrodes of different materials inside the battery, namely the positive electrode and the negative electrode, separated by an electrolyte. When the battery is not charging and discharging, the potential difference between the positive and negative electrodes is zero, and the charges on the electrodes are balanced. When the battery is discharged, the positive electrode releases electrons and the negative electrode absorbs electrons. Since the direction of electron flow is from the negative electrode to the positive electrode, the current is opposite. The battery is connected to the forklift through mechanical equipment to generate current between the positive and negative electrodes of the battery to provide power for the forklift. When the battery is exhausted, it needs to be charged. The positive and negative electrodes are connected in opposite directions through an external power supply, and the current flows in the opposite direction to reverse the direction of the chemical reaction for charging, so that the electrodes are rebalanced and the charge is stored.
